SUMMARY:Lughnasadah (Lúnasa) 2026
DESCRIPTION:Lughnasadah (Lúnasa) is the first of the three harvest festivals on the Wheel of the Year\nFollowed by Mabon and Samhain. With the abundance of the first harvest bread has been baked\, preserves made\, oils have been pressed\, weanlings are ready for market. This is when people came to town to trade\, handfast and celebrate. \nLughnasadah is named after Lugh\, the Celtic god of light and bringer of heat. Lugh is master of all crafts\, gifted in all games\, and is the initiator of genius within us all. \nThis Lughnasadah the flock will build a 2.5′ – 3′ straw effigy to Lugh to present offerings of thanks and for continued abundance. After the celebration Lugh will be composted for use in spring as flock group seedling project. In respect to our dry climate we can not burn our Lugh effigy. This is to be a Family Inclusive Celebration • Grilling/BBQ • Potluck Charcuterie Board • Revery • Games • Crafts. \nWe kindly request minimum of 5 Family Save the Date RSVPs by July 15 for this event to move forward. \nIn the spirit of the abundance of Lúnasa each flock member attending will be asked to contribute what they can to the event.

DESCRIPTION:Samhain 2026\nSamhain 2026 marks the seasonal transition into a time of remembrance\, reflection\, and gratitude. Join us at Madison Manor for an evening of good food\, warm fellowship\, and a respectful Samhain ritual as we reflect upon those who have gone before us\, contemplate the enduring cycles of life\, death\, and renewal\, and acknowledge the final harvest before the quiet of winter. \nThis is a potluck gathering\, so please bring a dish to share. Homemade dishes are especially encouraged and are a wonderful way to honor the spirit of the season\, but we understand that everyone’s circumstances are different\, and any thoughtful contribution is sincerely appreciated. \nAs this is our Samhain celebration—the most significant observance of the year—we invite you\, whenever possible\, to present your food in a way that reflects the beauty and traditions of the season. A little extra care in presentation helps create a truly memorable feast for everyone. \nSteve will be serving up his Magickal Hearty Rustic Beef Stew! Click here to sign up your dish:  Perfect Potluck \nAfter sharing our meal together\, we will gather at sunset for a respectful ritual inspired by the traditional themes of Samhain. This is not a costume party. Robes are suggested for the ritual if you have one—black is traditional\, but any robe is welcome. If you do not own a robe\, simply come as you are. \nAttendance is limited to 13 participants to preserve the intimacy of the gathering. A minimum of 5 participants is required for the ritual to be held. \nWe look forward to sharing an evening of fellowship\, remembrance\, contemplation\, and the quiet beauty and enduring wisdom of the season.
